Fun Run Details

Right, Fun Run registration is up and, well, running!

Details can be found at this page, which will also take you to the registration pages.

At this stage I don't think we need to tell you how important this all is, so I'll just re-iterate what we've been saying since we started this - all we want is for people to come out and enjoy themselves and pay a small amount for the privilege - not to benefit us, but to help people who are currently living in a nightmare.

Right, that's enough sermonising - get registering!

Thanks to Richard for hosting the show and Jude for recording it - we had a great time!

Radio Ga-Ga

Anto and myself have been all over the radio this last few days talking about the campaign. If for some reason you want to here us bumbling through interviews the links are below:

On Monday night we appeared on BBC Radio Ulster - Across The Line - you can hear our interview about 10 minutes in.

On last night's BBC Radio 1 in Northern Ireland - Introducing with Rory McConnell - about 1hr 17 mins in there is a whole feature on Haiti where we pop up. Also on there are Cormac from The Answer, Owen from General Fiasco and Colin from In Case Of Fire, 3 of the biggest acts on the 31st!

After all that, Joe Dougan from The Stiff Kitten goes through some of the acts playing at the Belfast 4 Haiti benefit in there on the same night - David HolmesBoxcutter and Space Dimension Controller!

Yesterday Anto did a phone interview with Féile Fm - again, no streaming sorry.

BBC Radio Ulster - Talkback - 55 mins in roughly I pop up. Getting good at this!

I was then on U105's Drive Time show presented by George Jones today at 4.40pm. This time I was accompanied by the latest addition to the bill on the 31st, the fantastic Brian Houston!

Unfortunately they don't archive their shows, so you can't listen to me starting to get the hang of this interview lark!

Straight after that I did a quick on-camera piece for BBC's Breakfast show tomorrow morning. I think. I've no idea what time in the morning it'll be on, so don't worry about waiting all morning to see me.

Anto did an interview earlier today with Stephen McCauley for his show Electric Mainline on Radio Foyle - as soon as I can figure out when that's broadcast I'll let you know!

What else, what else... oh, this site!

I'd like to thank Alan at Blue Tube Design for putting this together for us - he's been a great help with both this and putting us in touch with the Event Elephant guys who are one of our two ticketing partners, the other being Ticketmaster. Both companies have forsaken profit to ensure all the money you pay for a ticket goes straight to the Disasters Emergency Committee, the body we've decided to donate the money raised to.

We also got a 5 km Race 4 Haiti Fun Run organisation team off to a running start - that will be on the same morning of the gig, 31st of January in Ormeau Park. More details at this page.

It's been a busy week...

I'm going to work on getting all the various events up here over the next couple of days, please bear with us!

Things. Are. Going. Crazy.

It's only been one day, but already we're being snowed under by offers of help and bands wanting to play.

That doesn't mean we want you to stop however! It's important that we hear from you, but obviously once we've picked a designer, web-guy, whatever then we'll just stick with them for the duration, which at this point is 16 days!

So far we've had confirmations to play from:

With many, many more to come.

We've also got a JustGiving page so you can donate directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee. This is why we're doing this folks - money. Not for us, but for people in a terrible situation. We can help. So can you.
